What is the Presence feature?

The Presence feature allows your customers to see when you are typing a message or recording an audio on WhatsApp, even when you're using GHL. This makes communication much more humanized and natural!

💡 Why use it? When the customer sees that you're typing or recording, they know they're being attended in real time. This builds more trust and connection!


Prerequisites

Before starting, make sure you have:

⚠️ Important: This feature is available only on V2 of STEVO. V1 does not have this feature.


How Does It Work?

Typing in Real Time

When you type a message in GHL's Compose, it automatically shows the customer that you're typing.

  1. You start typing in GHL
  2. Customer sees "Typing..." on their WhatsApp
  3. You send the message
  4. The status disappears automatically

Recording Audio in Real Time

When you click the audio recorder in GHL, it shows the customer that you're recording an audio.

  1. You click the record audio button
  2. Customer sees the microphone icon (recording)
  3. You send the audio
  4. The status disappears automatically

Commands for Automations

You can use presence within your automations! Just add an SMS action with the commands:

How to Use in Automations

Step by Step

  1. Access Automations in GHL
  2. Create or edit an automation
  3. Add a "Send SMS" action
  4. In the message field, put the presence command
  5. Add a delay (wait time)
  6. Send the real message or audio

Complete Flow Example

Simulating typing before sending message:

Action 1: Send SMS with #presenca|mensagem
Action 2: Wait 5-10 seconds
Action 3: Send the real message

Simulating recording before sending audio:

Action 1: Send SMS with #presenca|audio
Action 2: Wait 10-15 seconds (depends on audio length)
Action 3: Send the audio

Script Installation

For presence to work in GHL, you need to install the script:

  1. Access Settings in GHL
  2. Go to Company
  3. Click on Custom JavaScript
  4. Paste the presence script
  5. Save the changes

Important Notes

  • V2 Only: This feature is only available on STEVO V2
  • Automatic: When you type or record manually in GHL, presence appears automatically
  • Commands: For automations, use the commands #presenca|audio or #presenca|mensagem
  • Disappears automatically: The status disappears automatically after sending the message or audio
